Winter Break Two-Day MiniCamp

The Winter Break 2 Day Shooting and Ball Handling Mini Camp designed to help young basketball players improve their shooting skills and fine tune those dribbling skills. The clinic focuses on developing form and mechanics to help players become more accurate and efficient shooters along with intense ball handling drills to create an open shot. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, the Shooting and Ball Handling Clinic is a great opportunity to refine your skills and learn from the best. Registration is open to all athletes Grade 3-8.

NEW YEAR NEW MOVES

Start the New Year off right building from the fundamentals of basketball training. Join LHBA on 1/11/25 for our NEW YEAR NEW MOVES CLINIC, start from the foundation fine tuning those primary skills to develop into an all around basketball player. Everybody wants to shoot 3s and  dribble between the legs but few want to do the necessities prior to the flashiness. It starts under the basket with form shooting and on the sidelines with pound dribbles. Do not knock the basic work many great individuals have started with and willing to pass the knowledge down to future hoopers. Athletes will engage in basic fundamental skills to improve all aspects of the basketball including ball control, shooting mechanics, fundamental finishing techniques and overall knowledge of the game of basketball. Whether your athlete is new to the game or advanced, this camp is detailed to be beneficial to all athletes.

MLK Day Mini Camp 

Join LHBA for our MLK DAY Mini Camp on 1/20/25. Athletes will engage in ball handling, shooting, defense and team building skills. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of basketball and how to be an effective team player with the expertise of our staff. At this camp, athletes will be challenged on fundamental dribbling such as stationary ball handling advancing to combo skills. Shooting form and mechanics will be evaluated and developed for selected shooting drills. Athletes will compete in various games and drills being informed on defensive posture, effort and awareness. Athletes will also focus on characteristics basketball provides off the court as well. We know basketball is much more than a game and can be used as a vehicle for life. Responsibility, discipline, respect and gratitude are many attributes that will help all athletes in all obstacles. These character traits will be reviewed within camp.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to start the new year off right with our MLK Mini Camp at LHBA!

Fundamentals Clinic

Start the New Year off right at LHBA West with the Fundamentals Clinic. Learn the basics of passing, such as the bounce pass and chest pass. Learn about proper shooting form and technique tips to help improve your Jumpshot, and work on your ball handling as you embark on your basketball journey. Athletes will add and refine these basic skills in to improve all aspects of their game. Whether your athlete is new to the game or have played for a while, this camp is detailed and will be beneficial to all athletes participating. Ours drills will help the athlete gain confidence by learning or reviewing skills that are necessary in game play. Athletes are encouraged to ask questions and focus on the details of all instruction given at the clinic to get the best experience possible. It is important for athlete to know the fundamentals of the game of basketball and what better time than the new year!
